COUNTY OF HAWAII " �•I STATE OF HAWAII • +j ;_ ,:fie _�.: RESOLUTION NO 90 11 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A MONETARY DONATION OF $500 TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION TO SUPPORT THE SUMMER FUN PROGRAM AT THE PA'AUILO GYM WHEREAS, The Pa'auilo Camp Community Association is donating $500 to the Department of Parks and Recreation; and WHEREAS, these funds will be used to support the Summer Fun Program at the Pa'auilo Gym, which provides activities and recreation for the local youth by supplementing program fees; and WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13 -12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2 -162 (a) of the Hawaii County Code states that any gifts or donations of money, securities, or personal property which fall within the capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may be accepted by resolution approved by the Council; and WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Department of Finance has requested that cash donations of any amount be recorded and accepted through the formal Resolution process; and WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation recommends the acceptance of this donation; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13 -12, of the Hawaii County Charter, and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2- 162(a) of the Hawaii County Code, the Council of the County of Hawai'i accepts this donation.
