COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII RESOLUTION NO. 148 11 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI -YEAR LEASE OF REAL PROPERTY WHEREAS, Section 10 -11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and WHEREAS, the Department of Public works presently leases property at 81 -6394 Mamalahoa Highway, Kona, Hawaii, Tax Map Key: (3)8 -1- 016:039 (por.) and the use of a forty (40) foot storage container located on the site for the purpose of parking vehicles, and for storage of equipment and supplies; and WHEREAS, by extending the lease for an additional two (2) years, the rent is to be set at $600 per month, starting on August 1, 2012 and ending on July 31, 2014, with the option to rent thereafter on a month to month basis; now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a two (2) year lease agreement for property located at 81 -6394 Mamalahoa Highway, Kona, Hawaii, Tax Map Key: (3)8 -1- 016:039 (por.) and the use of a forty (40) foot storage container located on the site. 2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement.
