SCHEDULE B -1 <br />Grant No: <br />Exhibit III <br />BUDGET NARRATIVE PAGE #1 of 1 <br />Personnel Costs <br />Hawai'i Police Department will conduct 70 checkpoints throughout the grant period. These activities will be <br />conducted on an overtime basis. The checkpoints will be staffed by supervisors (Lieutenant and/or <br />Sergeant) and officers. Cost are estimated based on an average overtime hourly rate of $52.00 per hour for <br />supervisors and $48.00 per hour for officers. Average hourly rates are used because exact overtime rates vary <br />within the department depending on rank and years of service. Which personnel will be staffing which <br />is undetermined at the outset of the grant period.
