COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />BILL NO. 115 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 10, DIVISION 5 OF THE HAWAII <br />COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO PARKING. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br />SECTION 1. The purpose of this measure is to restrict people from parking in the <br />subject area, encroaching in the through lane, and causing through traffic from driving in the left - <br />turn lane. This problem is especially evident on school days during Waikoloa Elementary School <br />start and end times. <br />SECTION 2. Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 5, Section 24 -280, Schedule 28. No parking at <br />anytime, subsection (e), Kohala, Hawai'i County Code 1983 (2005 edition, as amended), is amended by <br />adding the following, to be appropriately numbered and to read as follows: <br />(e) Kohala <br />(1) Emmalani Street, both sides, for its entire length. <br />(2) Honomakua Road at Kohala High and Elementary School, from the exit driveway <br />of the school cottage to the makai boundary of the school property. <br />(3) Hulukupuna Street, Kona side, from Emmalani Street for a distance of one <br />hundred twenty -five feet in the makai direction. <br />(4) Ka- Uhiwai Street, west side, for its entire length. <br />(5) Lanikila Street, west side, for its entire length. <br />(6) Lindsey Road, both sides, beginning at Route 19 and extending two hundred fifty <br />feet in the northerly direction, except along the passenger loading zone fronting <br />Parker School. <br />(7) Lua -Kula Street, north side, beginning at Paniolo Avenue and extending six <br />hundred eighty feet in the westerly direction and from a point two thousand thirty - <br />four feet west of Paniolo Avenue to a point four hundred feet in the northerly <br />direction, and south side from Paniolo Avenue to Melia Street. <br />(8) Mahina Street, west side, for its entire length. <br />(9) Mamalahoa Highway, mauka side, beginning at Lindsey Road and extending four <br />hundred ninety -five feet in the Hilo direction. <br />(10) Pa'akea Street, east side, for its entire length. <br />
