COUNTY OF HAWAII ORDINANCE NO. STATE OF HAWAII BILL NO. 115 11 120 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 10, DIVISION 5 OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO PARKING. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I: SECTION 1. The purpose of this measure is to restrict people from parking in the subject area, encroaching in the through lane, and causing through traffic from driving in the left - turn lane. This problem is especially evident on school days during Waikoloa Elementary School start and end times. SECTION 2. Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 5, Section 24 -280, Schedule 28. No parking, at anytime, subsection (e), Kohala, Hawai'i County Code 1983 (2005 edition, as amended), is amended by adding the following, to be appropriately numbered and to read as follows: (e) Kohala (1) Emmalani Street, both sides, for its entire length. (2) Honomakua Road at Kohala High and Elementary School, from the of the school cottage to the makai boundary of the school property. Hulukupuna Street, Kona side, from Emmalani Street for a distance hundred twenty -five feet in the makai direction. Ka- Uhiwai Street, west side, for its entire length. Lanikila Street, west side, for its entire length. Lindsey Road, both sides, beginning at Route 19 and extending, two (3) (4) (5) (6) (7) exit driveway of one hundred fifty feet in the northerly direction, except along the passenger loading zone fronting Parker School. Lua -Kula Street, north side, beginning at Paniolo Avenue and extending six hundred eighty feet in the westerly direction and from a point two thousand thirty -- four feet west of Paniolo Avenue to a point four hundred feet in the northerly direction, and south side from Paniolo Avenue to Melia Street. Mahina Street, west side, for its entire length. Mamalahoa Highway, mauka side, beginning at Lindsey Road and extending four hundred ninety -five feet in the Hilo direction. Pa'akea Street, east side, for its entire length.
