Water: According to the Department of Water Supply, the area mauka of Akala Road, <br />including the subject property, is serviced from a high pressure system that is inadequate <br />to provide additional service for the proposed subdivision. However, county water can <br />be made available for the proposed subdivision from an existing 6 -inch waterline within <br />Akala Road fronting the subject property. <br />18. Wastewater: As there is no municipal sewer system in the area, wastewater will be <br />disposed of by individual wastewater systems meeting the requirements of the <br />Department of Health. <br />19. Essential Utilities and Services: The Kaumana Fire Station is located about 2 miles <br />from the property. Police and medical services are available nearby in Hilo.
