No. 441/Bill No. 132 <br />Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 132, reports as follows: <br />Bill 132, transmitted by Finance Director Nancy Crawford via Communication No. 441, dated <br />October 19, 2011, amends Ordinance No. 11 -59, as amended, the Operating Budget, ending <br />June 30, 2012. The amendment is as follows: <br />From: <br />010.3301.99 Federal Grant — Victims of Crime Act General $21,268 <br />To: <br />010.271.5271.56 Victims of Crime Act General $21,268 <br />The bill amends the Operating Budget by increasing the appropriation of the Federal Grant — <br />Victims of Crime Act by $21,268. These funds are for the purpose of supporting the Victim of <br />Crimes Act (VOCA) program. VOCA provides salaries and wages for five staff, sub - grants for <br />direct services to victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, homicide, child abuse, and limited <br />operating expenses. <br />Pursuant to Section 46 -7, Hawaii Revised Statutes, County Departments must obtain the consent <br />of the Council to enter into agreements with the federal or state governments respecting action to <br />be taken pursuant to any of the powers granted by law to furnish, expend and receive any funds <br />or other assistance in connection with projects being or to be undertaken pursuant to those <br />powers. <br />Office of the Prosecuting Attorney Business Manager Nancy Kelly appeared before Your <br />Committee. <br />There was no discussion on this measure. <br />FC Report No. 157 <br />
