Section 5-34. Exemption. <br /> (a) The County, all agencies of the County, and contractors with the County, shall be exempted from <br /> the requirement of paying any permit fees. <br /> (b) Habitat for Humanity Hilo and Habitat for Humanity Kona shall be exempt from the requirement of <br /> paying any permit fee. This exemption shall not apply to penalty fees when required under this <br /> chapter. <br /> Section 5-35. Impact fees. <br /> The administrative authority is authorized to promulgate rules pursuant to chapter 91, Hawai`i <br /> Revised Statutes, as amended, to impose an impact fee in compliance with sections 46-141 through <br /> 46-148,Hawai`i Revised Statutes,to recover two-thirds of the cost of new fire stations. <br /> Section 5-36. Table 1-A. <br /> TABLE 1-A BUILDING PERMIT FEES <br /> Fees shall be as follows: <br /> A. County of Hawai`i, Department of Public Works, $150.00 <br /> Building Division pre-approved single-family <br /> dwelling package model homes or single family <br /> dwelling with architect or structural engineer <br /> stamp 900 s.f. - 1,100 s.f. (living area only with <br /> one car or two car carport). <br /> B. County of Hawai`i, Department of Public Works, $200.00 <br /> Building Division pre-approved single-family <br /> dwelling package model homes or single-family <br /> dwelling with architect or structural engineer <br /> stamp 1,101 s.f. - 1,400 s.f. (living area only with <br /> one car or two car carport). <br /> C. Dwellings over 1,401 s.f. including all single- $20.00 per 100 sq. ft. or fraction thereof <br /> family model homes with no minimum s.f. <br /> requirement which is part of a development. (To <br /> include all enclosed areas under roof except for <br /> areas listed under"D"). <br /> D. Carport, garages, porches, patios or lanais and $10.00 per 100 sq. ft. or fraction thereof <br /> detached U structures. <br /> E. All other occupancies shall be based on valuation <br /> and the schedule below: <br /> $0 to $500 $10.00 <br /> $501 to$2,000 $10.00 for the first $500 plus $1.50 for each <br /> additional $100 or fraction thereof, to and <br /> including$2,000 <br /> $2,001 to $25,000 $32.50 for the first $2,000 plus $7.50 for <br /> each additional $1,000 or fraction thereof, <br /> to and including$25,000. <br /> $25,001 to $50,000 $205.00 for the first $25,000 plus $6.00 for <br /> each additional $1,000 or fraction thereof, <br /> to and including$50,000. <br /> $50,001 and up $355.00 for the first $50,000 plus $3.00 for <br /> each additional $1,000 or fraction thereof. <br /> 12 <br />
