The purpose of this measure is to identify the location of the new <br /> crosswalk fronting the Keonepoko Elementary School. A part of this effort also includes the <br /> removal of an existing crosswalk and stop sign adjacent to a horizontal curve on Kahakai Boulevard <br /> southeast of Keonepoko Elementary School. <br /> SECTION 2. Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 4, Section 24-276, Schedule 24. <br /> Crosswalks, subsection (g), Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 edition, as amended), is amended by <br /> adding the following to be appropriately numbered and to read as follows: <br /> ( ) Kahakai Boulevard, two hundred forty-two feet northwest of Punawai <br /> Street. <br /> SECTION 3. Material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New material is <br /> underscored. In printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed and stricken material and <br /> underscoring need not he included. <br /> SECTION 4. Severability. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof <br /> to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or <br /> applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, <br /> and to this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable. <br />
