COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />BILL NO. 203 <br />63 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 10, DIVISION 4 OF THE HAWAII <br />COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO CROSSWALKS. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br />SECTION 1. The purpose of this measure is to identify the location of the new <br />crosswalk fronting the Keonepoko Elementary School. A part of this effort also includes the <br />removal of an existing crosswalk and stop sign adjacent to a horizontal curve on Kahakai Boulevard <br />southeast of Keonepoko Elementary School. <br />SECTION 2. Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 4, Section 24 -276, Schedule 24. <br />Crosswalks, subsection (g). Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 edition, as amended), is ameuded by <br />adding the following to be appropriately numbered and to read as follows: <br />( ) Kahakai Boulevard, two hundred forty -two feet northwest of Punawai <br />Street. <br />SECTION 3. Material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New material is <br />underscored. In printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed and stricken material and <br />underscoring need not be included. <br />SECTION 4. Severability. If any provision of this ordinance_ or the application thereof <br />to any person or circumstance. is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or <br />applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, <br />and to this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable. <br />
