BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> This donation is offered by the Sayre Foundation to the Hawai'i Fire Department's Fire Rescue and Ocean <br /> Safety Divisions, and consists of two Arizona Vortex rappelling systems, costing $1645.00; seven Cabel's <br /> Gore-Tex parkas and bibs, $1895.24; one 14" cut-off saw, $1880.25; seven rope rescue kits and bags, <br /> $2965.00; two Garmin GPS, $1007.98; seven swift water vests, $2635.83; two rescue boards, $2350.00; <br /> one rescue boat tow bar, $3677.93; for a total donation of$18,057.23. <br /> The donation of the above rescue equipment will provide vital equipment for our Fire Department rescue <br /> personnel for their personal safety and also to facilitate the safe delivery of rescue services. <br /> DATE: <br /> Department Head <br />
