Pavao, Manager <br /> Y/ <br /> SUBJECT: SPECIAL MANAGEMENT AREA USE PERMIT APPLICATION NO. 96-12 <br /> REQUEST - ALLOW FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A PROFESSIONAL CENTER <br /> CHANGE OF ZONE APPLICATION NO. 96-27 <br /> REQUEST - RM-1 TO CV-10 <br /> APPLICANT - WALUA ROAD JOINT VENTURE <br /> TAX MAP KEY 7-5-18:19 <br /> We have reviewed the subject applications. <br /> Water can be made available from an existing 6-inch waterline along Ali ' i Drive. <br /> However, the Hawaii County Fire Department should be consulted for fire protection <br /> requirements. <br /> Pursuant to the Department ' s "Water Commitment Guidelines Policy, " a copy of which <br /> is being forwarded to the applicant, a water commitment may be issued. Based on <br /> the 3 additional units requested in the proposed 4-unit development, the required <br /> water commitment deposit is $450.00. <br /> Remittance by the applicant of $450.00 is requested as soon as possible so that a <br /> water commitment may be formally issued. The commitment will be in writing with <br /> specific conditions and effective dates stated. Please keep in mind that this <br /> letter shall not be construed as a water commitment. In other words, unless a <br /> water commitment is officially effected, water availability is subject to change <br /> depending on the water situation. <br /> Should the subject applications be approved and subdivision applications be <br /> formally executed, final approval will be subject to the following conditions: <br /> • <br /> 1 . Construct necessary water system improvements, which shall include, but not <br /> be limited to: <br /> a. water mains capable of delivering water at adequate pressure and <br /> volume under peak-flow and fire-flow conditions; size of main is <br /> subject to the Fire Department' s fire-flow requirement, and <br /> b. a service lateral that will accommodate the appropriately-sized meter. <br /> 2.
