The applicant shall comply with the following conditions of road improvement: <br /> (1) Improve and dedicate right-of-way width described as follows: A triangular <br /> section of land for a road of right-of-way for intersection improvement to <br /> accommodate pavement turning geometry. This triangular section shall start from <br /> the existing southwest corner of parcel 18 and extend eastward for fifteen feet <br /> along the property line ion Homestead Road,then turn toward the northwest to <br /> create the hypotenuse of the triangle which shall terminate on the south side of the <br /> new flagpole driveway on the north side of parcel 18 at Old Government Road, <br /> then turn southward toward the intersection of Homestead Road and the <br /> Mamalahoa Highway. This triangular section shall be improved by removing <br /> encroachments in the road right-of-way including the existing rock wall and <br /> applicant shall add new asphalt pavement to the triangular section and to the Old <br /> Government Road in front of parcel 189 to meet the standards of the department <br /> of public works at no cost to the county. Asphalt paving on Old Government <br /> Road shall extend from the property line parcel 18 to as close to the rock wall of <br /> TMK: 7-6-004:13 as is practicable. Appropriate pavement striping at the <br /> intersection of Mamalahoa Highway and Old Government Road may be required <br /> of the applicant by the department of public works at no cost to the county. <br /> (2) Provide drainage improvements, if required, at no cost to the county. <br /> (3) Provide a minimum of 10-foot radius from the setback at the southeast corner of <br /> the parcel for future road widening for improved turning within the mauka area of <br /> the subdivision. The applicant is not required to pave this section. <br /> (4) Relocation of private and public utility pole(s) shall not be required. <br /> (5) Street lighting shall not be required. <br /> (6) Old Government Road may be renamed after a community meeting is held. <br /> Signage shall be placed by the department of public works once the street name <br /> and directional or informational signs(s)requirements are determined." <br /> 2. Section 2, subsection(F.) is amended to read as follows: <br /> "F. On the preliminary plat map reflecting the proposed subdivision of the subject property, a <br /> 5-foot wide future road widening setback,with no access permitted along the private <br /> roadway(known as Homestead Road) shall be clearly delineated and labeled in a manner <br /> meeting with the approval of the Department of Public Works." <br /> A draft copy of Bill No 219, Draft 2, with this amendment incorporated therein is attached. <br /> BJF/sao <br /> Att. <br />
