COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />BILL NO. 187 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1-2 50 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 10, DIVISION 5 OF THE HAWAII <br />COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO PARKING. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br />SECTION 1. The purpose of this measure is to address the Hawaii Police Department's <br />request to discourage motorists from stopping, standing, or parking in the subject area and blocking <br />through traffic. <br />SECTION 2. Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 5, Section 24-286, Schedule 34. No stopping, <br />standing or parking areas, subsection (f), Kona, of the Hawai'i County Code 1983 (2005 edition, as <br />amended), is amended by adding the following, to be appropriately numbered and to read as follows: <br />(f) Kona <br />(1) In Captain Cook, on the west side of Route 11, beginning at a point 0.15 mile <br />south of Nap6'opo`o Road (Palipoko Road) intersection in a southerly direction to <br />Hind Drive. <br />() Ka`ahumanu Place, north side, except for signed and marked ADA accessible <br />parking stalls and loading zone. <br />SECTION 3. Material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New material is <br />underscored. In printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed and stricken material and <br />underscoring need not be included. <br />SECTION 4. Severability. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof <br />to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or <br />applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, <br />and to this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable. <br />
