.'4p Jrt�Gi N,..•' <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII I-� ''; '� • STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 261 12 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF USED FIRE <br /> APPARATUS TO BE UTILIZED BY THE HAWAII FIRE DEPARTMENT <br /> ISLAND-WIDE <br /> WHEREAS, the Honolulu Fire Department is donating used fire apparatus to <br /> the Hawaii Fire Department; and <br /> WHEREAS, the equipment consists of three (3) Class A Pumpers and two (2) <br /> 1,500 gallon water tankers; and <br /> WHEREAS, this equipment, valued at $5,000 each, for a total value of <br /> $25,000, will be used by the Hawaii Fire Department as back-up to their front-line <br /> fleet (Class A Pumpers) and to support wildland firefighting activities (water tankers); <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides <br /> that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, <br /> securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, <br /> and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (a) of the Hawaii County Code states that <br /> any gifts or donations of money, securities, or personal property which fall within the <br /> capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may be accepted by <br /> resolution approved by the Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawaii Fire Department recommends the acceptance of this <br /> donation; now, therefore, <br />
