Request: Change of zone from RS-10 to MCX-20 to allow a veterinary hospital/clinic <br /> on the subject site. The clinic will cater only to small animals. The applicant plans to <br /> renovate the single-family dwelling on the subject property and relocate his veterinary <br /> practice currently located at 711 Kanoelehua Avenue. The clinic will operate as an"out- <br /> patient"facility, and there will be no overnight stays. The hours of operation will be from <br /> 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and occasionally on Saturdays. Parking <br /> will be provided on-site. Hilo Community Development Plan: The Hilo Community Development Plan adopted <br /> by Planning Commission Resolution No. 1 on May 21, 1975 identifies the area as RS-10. <br /> 7. Special Management Area: The project site is located more than one mile from the <br /> shoreline and is not in the SMA. <br /> -1- <br />
