COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />309 12 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER <br />FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI- <br />YEAR LEASE FOR ONE (1) DIGITAL MULTI -FUNCTION COPIER FOR THE <br />FINANCE DEPARTMENT <br />WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or <br />other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of <br />more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and <br />WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii wishes to enter into a multi-year lease agreement for <br />five (5) years, for one (1) digital multi -function copier for the Finance Department to be used <br />at the Purchasing office in Hilo; and <br />WHEREAS, the current copier, which is approximately seven (7) years old, has <br />increasingly frequent needs of repair and is nearing the end of its useful life; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br />1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a five (5) year lease <br />agreement for one (1) digital multi -function copier for the Finance <br />Department. <br />2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the <br />anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that these copiers shall be leased for a period of five <br />(5) years, each at a cost not to exceed $334 per month, plus an amount not to exceed <br />$0.03 for each black and white copy for up to 15,000 copies per month. <br />
