REQUEST: <br /> Authorize the payment of funds of a later fiscal year and of more than one fiscal year for a multi-year lease <br /> for one (1) multi-function copier for the Department of Research and Development's Kona office. Copier <br /> would be leased for a period of sixty (60) months at a cost not to exceed $120 per month, plus an amount <br /> not to exceed $0.030 for each black and white copy in excess of the monthly print allowance. <br /> B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> The current multi-function copier was purchased in 2005 requires frequent repair and is considered obsolete. <br /> The staff requires a reliable machine for network printing, copying, scanning and faxing.The annual <br /> maintenance cost for the exisitng unit is $1,986/year plus tax.
