Project Number 10-WF-15 <br /> C O N T R A C T <br /> THIS CONTRACT, executed on the respective dates <br /> indicated below, is effective as of July 1, 2012, <br /> by and between the Department of the Attorney General, State of <br /> Hawaii, hereinafter called "Agency, " by and through the Attorney <br /> General, and the Hawai ' i Police Department, County of Hawaii, <br /> hereinafter called "Grantee . " <br /> WITNESSETH <br /> WHEREAS, Title IV of the Violent Crime Control and Law <br /> Enforcement Act of 1994, 42 U. S . C. 3796 et seq. , as amended <br /> (hereinafter "Act" ) , was enacted to make grants to states for <br /> developing and strengthening effective law enforcement and <br /> prosecutorial strategies and victim services in cases involving <br /> crimes against women. Offices and agencies of the state <br /> government, units of local government, Indian tribes, and non- <br /> profit, non-governmental victim services programs are eligible <br /> to apply to states for subgrants under the fourteen broad <br /> purpose areas : <br /> 1 Project No. 10-WF-15.doc <br /> (revised 10/2011) <br />
