BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> This project is to improve the intersection and add a left-turn pocket into Maria Road, <br /> from the Mamalahoa Highway, in the town of Waimea, South Kohala, Hawaii. The <br /> $56,000 appropriation for Federal funding is needed for the planning, design, and <br /> engineering of the project.
