" STATE OF HAWAII <br /> \Oi•MI <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 32 13 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF <br /> FIRE RESCUE EQUIPMENT FOR USE BY THE HAWAII FIRE <br /> DEPARTMENT'S FIRE RESCUE AND OCEAN SAFETY DIVISIONS <br /> WHEREAS, the Daniel Sayre Memorial Foundation is donating Fire Rescue <br /> Equipment to the Hawaii Fire Department; and <br /> WHEREAS, this equipment consists of the following: <br /> Quantity Description Cost <br /> 1 Adult Rescue Manikin $675.00 <br /> 32 Decompression Diving Computer $12,291.21 <br /> 2 Vertical Lift Harness $360.00 <br /> 4 Repelling Anchor Strap (X-Large) $164.00 <br /> 4 Repelling Anchor Strap (XX-Large) $180.00 <br /> 8 Repelling Anchor Strap Sleeve $280.00 <br /> 1 Prusik-Minding Swivel Pulley $110.00 <br /> 30 Single Micro-Prusik-Minding Swivel Pulley $1,221.00 <br /> 15 Double Micro-Prusik-Minding Swivel Pulley $1,204.50 <br /> 15 Aqua Strobe Light $449.85 <br /> 15 Apex Headlamp $1,350.00 <br /> 1 Tuition for diver training (SCUBA), Public Safety $9,720.00 <br /> 1 Tuition for diver training (SCUBA), Dive Rescue I $10,125.00 <br /> 8 Medical Supply Bag 1,040.00 <br /> 50 Rescue Gear Belts $500.00 <br /> 2 Rescue Open Board $1,730.00 <br /> 3 Automated External Defibrillator $5.985.00 <br /> 6 Rescue Binoculars $894.00 <br /> TOTAL: $48,279.56 <br /> ; and <br /> WHEREAS, this equipment, with a total value of$48,279.56, will be used by the <br /> Hawaii Fire Department's Fire Rescue and Ocean Safety Divisions; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides <br /> that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, <br /> securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, and <br /> Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (a) of the Hawaii County Code states that any gifts <br /> or donations of money, securities, or personal property which fall within the <br /> capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may be accepted by resolution <br /> approved by the Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawaii Fire Department recommends the acceptance of this <br /> donation; now, therefore, <br />
