COUNTY OF HAWAII RESOLUTION NO. STATE OF HAWAII 40 13 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ABANDONMENT AND DISPOSITION OF A GOVERNMENT REMNANT SITUATED AT `AINAKEA, DISTRICT OF NORTH KOHALA, COUNTY AND STATE OF HAWAII, BEING TAX MAP KEY: (3) 5-3- 011:106 TO KOHALA HOSPITAL. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII. WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii is the owner of that certain parcel of land located in `Ainakea, District of North Kohala, County and State of Hawaii, specifically identified as Tax Map Key: (3) 5-3-011:106, a remnant of approximately 9,525 square feet which is currently unused by any County agency: and WHEREAS, Kohala Hospital, a subsidiary of the Hawaii Health Systems Corporation, an entity of the State of Hawaii, on October 4, 2012 requested the conveyance of this parcel for use as an access road to its new emergency room; and WHEREAS, the departments of the County of Hawaii have no objection to the request of Kohala Hospital; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-111, Hawaii County Code, the Council may direct the Director of Finance to dispose of real property in fee simple; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-120, Hawaii County Code, remnants or portions thereof may be disposed of without notice or appraisal to a governmental entity; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-120, Hawaii County Code, disposition costs may be attributed to Kohala Hospital; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 46-7, Hawaii Revised Statutes, this Council's consent is required to enter into an agreement with Kohala Hospital, as subsidiary of Hawaii Health Systems Corporation, an entity of the State of Hawaii; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, that said Tax Map Key: (3) 5-3-011:106 outlined on Exhibit "A" and "B" attached hereto, is hereby abandoned.
