COUNTY OF HAWAII ' o STATE OF HAWAII <br /> .. �T�Of Mf'�=•• <br /> BILL NO. 27 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 10, DIVISION 1, SECTION 24-257 <br /> OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO <br /> SPEED LIMITS. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br /> SECTION 1. The purpose of this measure is to lower the speed limit along Mamalahoa <br /> Highway south of the Ala Ohia Road (Waimea bypass) intersection. With the subject speed limit <br /> change, the design criteria specifically for the left-turn pocket into the Ala Ohia Road intersection <br /> will be met within the existing right-of-way. <br /> SECTION 2. Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 1, Section 24-257, Schedule 5. 35 mile <br /> per hour limit, subsection (e), Kohala, of the Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as amended), <br /> is amended by revising existing item: <br /> (1) Mamalahoa Highway (Highway 190), [in-Vs/aim-ea }from a point five hundred <br /> three feet north of Lalamilo Farm Road to Lindsey Road [to a point four thousand <br /> feet in the Kona direction]. <br /> SECTION 3. Material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New material is underscored. <br /> In printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed and stricken material and underscoring need not be <br /> included. <br />
