Honma as County of Hawai'i Director of Parks and Recreation, pursuant to the requirements of the Charter of the County of Hawai'i. Mr. Honma served as the County of Hawai'i Deputy Director of Parks and Recreation from December 2008 to December 3, 2012. During this period he worked effectively within the Parks and Recreation leadership and the administration in overseeing County Parks and Recreation operations island-wide. Pursuant to Rule 5(6) (g) of the Rules of Procedure and Organization of the Council of the County of Hawai'i, we respectfully request a waiver of this nomination through Committee so that it may be considered by the full Council on February 6, 2013.
