COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII �t1 OF•M�'� RESOLUTION NO. 70 13 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY OF HAWAII TO ENTER INTO A MULTI-YEAR LEASE OF UNIT A-8, 1,755 SQUARE FEET MORE OR LESS, BEING WITHIN ONE OF THE BUILDINGS SITUATED ON REAL PROPERTY IN HILO, HAWAII, TAX MAP KEY: (3)2-2-001-030. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII. WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the Hawai`i County Charter requires that any contract, lease or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year shall be approved by resolution; and WHEREAS, County of Hawai`i Office of the Legislative Auditor wishes to enter into an five (5) year lease with Martin Anderson, Kapoho Properties, Inc., a Hawai`i corporation, Norman Piianaia, and Yamanaka Enterprises, Inc., a Hawai`i corporation, for the use of Unit A- 8, containing 1,755 square feet more or less, on the parcel identified as Tax Map Key: (3)2-2- 001-030, in Hilo, Hawai`i, (a.k.a. "Hilo Ironworks Building") for office space, at a cost of $2,339.99 per month less the exemption of the parcel's real property taxes under Section 19-84 of the Hawai`i County Code with a base rent increase after the first three (3) years which shall be calculated by the sum of the past three (3) years Consumer Price Index (Hawai`i Sector). The lease also contains an option for renewal for an additional five (5) years with a base rent determined by a market value assessment sixty (60) days prior to renewal date; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that(1) the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a multi-year lease agreement for office space for the Office of the Legislative Auditor as described herein,pursuant to Section 10-11 of the Hawai`i
