-'�tvlos,e.,. <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> �t1 OF•M�'� <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 70 13 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY OF HAWAII TO ENTER INTO A <br /> MULTI-YEAR LEASE OF UNIT A-8, 1,755 SQUARE FEET MORE OR LESS, BEING <br /> WITHIN ONE OF THE BUILDINGS SITUATED ON REAL PROPERTY IN HILO, <br /> HAWAII, TAX MAP KEY: (3)2-2-001-030. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII. <br /> WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the Hawai`i County Charter requires that any contract, <br /> lease or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year <br /> or of more than one fiscal year shall be approved by resolution; and <br /> WHEREAS, County of Hawai`i Office of the Legislative Auditor wishes to enter into an <br /> five (5) year lease with Martin Anderson, Kapoho Properties, Inc., a Hawai`i corporation, <br /> Norman Piianaia, and Yamanaka Enterprises, Inc., a Hawai`i corporation, for the use of Unit A- <br /> 8, containing 1,755 square feet more or less, on the parcel identified as Tax Map Key: (3)2-2- <br /> 001-030, in Hilo, Hawai`i, (a.k.a. "Hilo Ironworks Building") for office space, at a cost of <br /> $2,339.99 per month less the exemption of the parcel's real property taxes under Section 19-84 <br /> of the Hawai`i County Code with a base rent increase after the first three (3) years which shall <br /> be calculated by the sum of the past three (3) years Consumer Price Index (Hawai`i Sector). The <br /> lease also contains an option for renewal for an additional five (5) years with a base rent <br /> determined by a market value assessment sixty (60) days prior to renewal date; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that(1) <br /> the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a multi-year lease agreement for office space for the <br /> Office of the Legislative Auditor as described herein,pursuant to Section 10-11 of the Hawai`i <br />
