COUNTY OF HAWAII • ;:' STATE OF HAWAII <br /> •• • <br /> BILL NO. 58 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 14, ARTICLE 9, SECTION 14-55 (Tables) OF THE <br /> HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED). <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br /> SECTION 1. The purpose of this measure is to allow for the use of Class II LED fixtures <br /> within all private and public right-of-ways. <br /> SECTION 2. Chapter 14, Article 9, Section 14-55 (Tables), of the Hawai`i County Code 1983 <br /> (2005 Edition, as amended), is amended by revising as follows: <br /> Section 14-55. Tables. <br /> TABLE 14-A <br /> Lamp Type Shielding Requirement Operation Restrictions <br /> Class I <br /> Low pressure sodium Fully shielded None <br /> Low pressure sodium Partially shielded Existing fixtures only. New <br /> installations as of <br /> October 2010 prohibited <br /> Others above 4,050 lumens Fully shielded Off from 11:00 p.m. to sunrise* <br /> Others below 4,050 lumens Fully shielded Off from 11:00 p.m. to sunrise* <br /> LED fixtures with less than 2% Fully shielded Off at 11:00 p.m. to sunrise* <br /> blue light content <br /> Class II <br /> Low pressure sodium <br /> 90 watts or less None Existing fixtures only. <br /> New installations as of <br /> October 2010 prohibited <br /> greater than 90 watts Partially shielded Existing fixtures only. <br /> New installations as of <br /> October 2010 prohibited <br />
