This appropriation reflects funding allocations received by the Department of <br /> Labor and Industrial Relations for the Program Year (PY) 2013. No County General Funds are <br /> involved. The Bill sets up the proper accounts to receive and expend the WIA funds. <br /> The Office of Housing and Community Development indicates that these funds will be utilized to <br /> assist adults, dislocated workers, and youth by providing services that will train individuals to <br /> increase employment, retention, earnings, skills and literacy; thereby improving the quality of the <br /> workforce, reducing welfare dependency and enhancing the productivity and competiveness of the <br /> local economy.
