FC -18 <br />Page 3 September 4, 2013 <br />Comm. 398: AMENDS ORDINANCE NO. 13 -66, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO PUBLIC <br />(Bill 116) IMPROVEMENTS AND FINANCING THEREOF FOR THE FISCAL YEAR <br />JULY 1 2013 TO JUNE 30 2014 <br />From Finance Director Nancy Crawford, dated August 15, 2013. Adds the Public <br />Works, Title 23 Projects - Federal ($251,365) to the Capital Budget. Funds for this <br />project shall be provided from Title 23 Program Income - American Recovery and <br />Reinvestment Act (ARRA) ($251,365). The Ane Keohokalole Project required <br />HELCO to install an underground line extension to power the streetlights, as well as <br />overhead lines to power the Keahuolu Interpretive Center. The County paid HELCO <br />for the work with ARRA funds. This bill appropriates the refundable amount, which <br />will be based on income generated by the line extension over a five -year period. <br />Comm. 403: AMENDS ORDINANCE NO. 13 -65, AS AMENDED, THE OPERATING <br />(Bill 118) BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAII FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING <br />JUNE 30 2014 <br />From Finance Director Nancy Crawford, dated August 15, 2013. Appropriates <br />revenues of $13,000 in the Federal Grants - Occupant Protection Program account, and <br />appropriates same to the Occupant Protection Program account. The State of <br />Transportation Public Affairs - Safe Community Program is providing additional <br />funding of $13,000 to Occupants Protection program, bringing the total grant <br />appropriation to $85,000. The grant funds will be used to allow the HCPD to purchase <br />two Prism Inflatable Light 1000 systems for nighttime seat belt checkpoints. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />The meeting place is accessible for persons with disabilities.
