WHEREAS, the capital improvement projects are ranked by priority as follows: <br /> 1. Ane KeohokAlole Highway—Hina-Lani Drive to Kaiminani Drive <br /> 2. South Kona Police Station <br /> 3. Regional Transit Hub in Waimea <br /> 4. Kupulau Street Extension (end of Kupulau St. to Puainako St. Extension) <br /> 5. Laupahoehoe Point Access Road <br /> 6. Nani Kailua Extension <br /> 7. Isaac Kepo`okalani Hale Beach Park Expansion <br /> 8. Kuauli Road Traffic Improvements; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawai`i County Council feels that it is more effective to submit one <br /> priority list as a unified Council rather than nine separate lists from each district; and <br /> WHEREAS, this priority list, as shown in detail in Exhibit A, will be sent to our <br /> Legislators for the 2014 Legislative Session; and <br /> WHEREAS, each Council Member is responsible for providing documentation (e.g., <br /> plans and designs, maps, costs, etc.) of their district project upon request by our State <br /> Legislators; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that it <br /> respectfully requests the Hawaii State Legislature and the Governor to support and provide <br /> funding for the highest priority capital improvement projects listed above. <br /> 2 <br />
