Karen Eoff Ane Keohokalole Highway—Hina-Lani Drive (3) 7-3-009:005, 6, 7, 8 & 9 $50,000,000 <br /> (District 8) to Kaiminani Drive: Construction of a new 013 & 025 <br /> major collector road parallel to Queen <br /> Ka`ahumanu Highway from Hina-Lani Street to (3) 7-3-010:006 <br /> Kaiminani Drive. Provide the necessary plans & 061 <br /> and designs for a new highway to enhance the <br /> quality of life by reducing traffic congestion. <br /> Also to provide connectivity and the continuation <br /> of the Ane Keohokalole Highway from Palani <br /> Road to Kaiminani. <br /> 2. Brenda South Kona Police Station: Currently the (3) 8-2-001:084 6 & 7 $7,000,000 <br /> Ford personnel at the Kealakehi Police Station (design & <br /> (District 6) provides police services to the communities construction) <br /> located in South Kona District. As a result, <br /> response time to emergencies may be delayed at <br /> times due to travel time from Kailua-Kona area to <br /> other communities in South Kona. As the <br /> population increases in this area due to <br /> affordability and availability of land, the issue of <br /> having adequate and timely police services will <br /> also increase. Construction of a new police <br /> station including a refueling station and radio <br /> tower is needed. This project will address both <br /> the current and future needs for improved public <br /> safety in the South Kona area. <br /> 3. Margaret Regional Transit Hub in Waimea: Master (3) 6-7-002:015 9 & 1-8 $10,000,000 <br /> Wille planning, design and construction of a Regional <br /> (District 9) Transit Hub in Waimea. The building will service <br /> cross-island as well as district and local bus <br /> routes. This will be a multi-modal facility with <br /> tourist information, public restrooms (including <br /> for early morning cross-island buses), bicycle <br /> racks, and parking areas. The County is in need of <br /> a multi-modal transit hub in the Waimea area as it <br /> is the central juncture point between Hilo and <br /> Kailua-Kona and is also a direct link to the <br />
