NEW BUSINESS <br /> A. Communication from HSAC Secretary Stanley Chang requesting agenda <br /> time to discuss the progress surrounding the 2014 HSAC Annual <br /> Conference. <br /> Brandon Mitsuda reported that the 2014 HSAC Annual Conference will be <br /> held on June 12— 13, 2014 at the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel to allow <br /> conferees to take advantage of the June 11, 2014 state holiday and <br /> extended special conference room rates. <br /> Treasurer Victorino informed the Committee that the 2014 American <br /> Water Works Association (AWWA) Annual Conference and Exposition is <br /> being held on June 8 — 12, 2014 in Boston, Massachusetts. He reminded <br /> the Committee that the HSAC annual conference is traditionally held <br /> during the third week of June to avoid conflict with this conference and <br /> other county legislative dates. He explained that as the Government <br /> representative to AWWA, he is obligated to attend its annual conference <br /> and requested consideration of alternate dates for the 2014 HSAC annual <br /> conference. <br /> This item was received and filed. <br /> B. Discuss and consider nominations to represent HSAC on the Hawaii <br /> Employer-Union Health Benefits Trust Fund Task Force. <br /> President Rapozo explained that Act 268 (2013) created the Hawaii <br /> Employer-Union Health Benefits Trust Fund (EUTF) Task Force (Task <br /> Force) with the primary purpose to examine the EUTF's unfunded liability. <br /> He further explained that the Task Force membership includes one <br /> member from HSAC. He informed the Committee that he received two <br /> written nominations for consideration by the Committee to fill the HSAC <br /> representative Task Force position. <br /> Treasurer Victorino informed the Committee that the Maui County Council <br /> adopted Resolution 13-114 on October 4, 2013, nominating Maui County <br /> Councilmember White to serve as the HSAC representative on the Task <br /> Force. <br /> 4 <br />
