FC-23 December 3, 2013 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Res. 231-13: AUTHORIZES THE OFFICE OF THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN <br />AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF HAWAI‘I DEPARTMENT OF THE <br />ATTORNEY GENERAL, PURSUANT TO HRS 46-7, FOR THE POLICE <br />DETECTIVES TRAINING GRANT TO THE HAWAI‘I COUNTY POLICE <br />DEPARTMENT <br />The $65,200 grant from the State of Hawai‘i Department of the Attorney General, <br />Crime Prevention and Justice Assistance Division, would be used to train <br />investigative personnel with the goal of increasing the prosecution success rate for <br />murder and other serious violent crimes in Hawai‘i County. <br /> <br /> Reference: Comm. 529 <br /> Intr. by: Ms. Poindexter <br /> <br />Recommends adoption of Res. 231-13: <br /> <br />Ayes: Committee Members Eoff, Ford, Ilagan, Kanuha, <br /> Kern, Onishi, Wille, Yoshimoto, and Chair Poindexter - 9. <br />Noes: None. <br />Absent: None. <br /> <br /> <br />BILLS FOR ORDINANCES <br /> <br />Bill 153: AMENDS ORDINANCE NO. 13-65, AS AMENDED, THE OPERATING <br />BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING <br />JUNE 30, 2014 <br />Appropriates revenues of $65,200 in the Federal Grants - Police Detectives Training <br />Grant account; and appropriates same to the Police Detectives Training Grant <br />account.
