tPJMty,os M,�6 <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII 1.`1'-` ' STATE OF HAWAII <br /> 'f,E Of N►'.NO`. <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 308 14 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER <br /> FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A <br /> MULTI-YEAR AGREEMENT FOR PERSONAL COMPUTERS AND <br /> LAPTOPS FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION TECHNOLGY <br /> WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, <br /> lease or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later <br /> fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and <br /> WHEREAS, the majority of personal computers (PCs) and laptops currently in use <br /> by County employees, utilize a legacy operating system that will no longer be supported <br /> by Microsoft Corporation after the second quarter of 2014; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii wishes to enter into a multi-year agreement to <br /> purchase PCs and Laptops in order to replace the equipment indicated above; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br /> 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into multi-year agreement <br /> for the purchase of desktop and laptop computers, to allow the <br /> Department of Information Technology replace computers with <br /> operating systems that will no longer be supported by the manufacturer <br /> after the second quarter of 2014. <br /> 2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the <br /> anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement. <br />
