Y OF <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> 1T�Of•M/i <br /> BILL NO. 240 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 11, DIVISION 1, SECTION 24- <br /> 300 OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), <br /> RELATING TO SPEED LIMITS ON PRIVATE STREETS. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br /> SECTION 1. The purpose of this ordinance is to establish speed limits in the Fern Acres <br /> subdivision so that speed limits can be properly enforced by the police. Pursuant to Section 24-2 <br /> of the Hawaii County Code, the County shall not be responsible for the maintenance and repair <br /> of any private street, highway, or thoroughfare when it imposes or enforces traffic regulations <br /> and highway safety laws on that private street, highway, or thoroughfare. <br /> SECTION 2. Chapter 24, article 11, division 1, section 24-300, schedule 4. 25 mile per <br /> hour limit, subsection(g) of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as amended), is <br /> amended to read as follows: <br /> "(g) Puna <br /> (1) Ainaloa Subdivision. <br /> 1. Ainaloa Drive, from Ainaloa Way to Stardust Drive. <br /> (2) Mauna Loa Estates Subdivision. <br /> 1. All streets. <br /> (3) Nanawale Estates Subdivision. <br /> 1. Flower Road. <br /> 2. Forest Road. <br /> 3. Hapu`u Road, from Forest Road to Nanawale Boulevard. <br /> 4. Kapuna Road. <br /> 5. Kehau Road, from Forest Road to Nanawale Boulevard. <br /> 6. Mauna Ke`a Road. <br /> 7. Seaview Road. <br /> (4) Hawaiian Paradise Park Subdivision, all paved roads except for <br /> Shower Drive, Kaloli Drive, Paradise Drive, and Maku`u Drive. <br /> (5j Fern Acres Subdivision. <br /> 1. Puhala Street. <br /> 2. Plumeria Street. <br /> 3. Lehua Street. <br /> 4. Hibiscus Street. <br /> 5. Pikake Street." <br />
