No. 820/Bill No. 240 <br />Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation, to which was referred Bill No. 240, <br />reports as follows: <br />Bill No. 240 transmitted by Council Member Zendo Kern, via Communication No. 820 dated <br />April 8, 2014, amends Chapter 24, Article 11, Division 1, Section 24-300 of the Hawaii County Code <br />1983 (2005 Edition, as amended), by adding certain streets in the Fern Acres Subdivision to Schedule 4 <br />(25 mile per hour limit), Subsection (g), Puna. <br />The purpose of this measure is to establish speed limits in the Fern Acres Subdivision so that speed <br />limits can be properly enforced by the police. <br />Committee Member Zendo Kern stated that amendment to this Traffic Schedule is in conjunction with <br />the other speed limits already established in the Fern Acres Subdivision and asked the Committee for <br />support. <br />Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation is in accord with the purpose and intent of <br />Bill No. 240 and recommends its passage on first reading. <br />IG <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />COMMITTEE ON PUBLIC WORKS AND <br />PARKS AND RECREATION <br />U MAMO KAN A, CHAIR <br />PWPRC REPORT NO.U. <br />2014 <br />ADOPTED.
