WHEREAS, the Waimea Preservation Association's Spencer House is located in the <br /> KTA shopping center, not far from the North Hawaii Community Hospital and the Police and <br /> Fire stations; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Waimea Preservation Association's Spencer House will provide a <br /> central location from which to operate as a North Hawaii CERT headquarters and would allow <br /> for the use by other government and nongovernment agencies involved in disaster preparedness; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, rental of this space would also assist the Waimea Preservation Association <br /> efforts to collectively support nonprofits in the North Hawaii region at the Spencer House; and <br /> WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from District 9 will be appropriated to the Civil <br /> Defense Agency for the rental of the back room at the Waimea Preservation Association's <br /> Spencer House in Waimea; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br /> following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br /> FUND: GENERAL <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $10,500 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC—Contingency Relief $10,500 <br /> 2 <br />
