REQUEST: <br /> Please prepare a resolution for DPW-Traffic Division to enter into a multi-year lease agreement for an <br /> additional four (4) years at a cost of$600.00 per month commencing on August 1, 2014 and ending on <br /> July 31, 2018, with the option to rent thereafter on a month to month basis for the purpose of leasing <br /> parking and storage space on the North side of the West Hawai'i Traffic Facility location at 81-6394 <br /> Mamalahoa Highway Kona, Hawaii, identified as Tax Map Key: (3) 8-1-016:039 (por) and the use of a <br /> 40 foot storage container located on site. <br /> B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> The Traffic Division is currently leasing the above named property for two (2) years, commencing on <br /> August 1, 2012, and ending on July 31, 2014. The DPW-Traffic Division is in continued need of <br /> additional space to park vehicles, containers, and for storing materials outside. There is currently <br /> limited parking, no space for storing signal poles and mast arms. Additional parking is needed for West <br /> Hawai'i facility personnel and this location area also has a 40 foot container for thermoplastic materials <br /> storage.
