HSSSC-12 April '10, 2014 COMMUNICATIONS Comm. 628: FISCAL YEAR 2014-2015 NONPROFIT GRANT REVIEW PROCESS AND FORMATION OF AN AD HOC COMMITTEE From Human Services and Social Services Committee(HSSSC) Chair Karen Eoff, dated January 16, 2014, describing the procedure for the review of applications for the County's annual awards to nonprofit agencies, as delineated in Hawaii County Code Section 2-139(a)(1)(C). Also requests formation of an ad hoc committee pursuant to Hawaii Revised Statutes §92-2.5(b). The ad hoc committee will conduct the grant reviews via interviews and/or site visitations with applicants, then provide its information and findings to HSSSC. Postponed: February 18 and April 15, 2014 (Note: There is a pending motion by Mr. Ilagan and duly seconded by Mr. Kern to close file on Comm. 628.) and Comm. 628.2: RECOMMENDATIONS FOR GRANT APPROPRIATIONS TO NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS From Human Services and Social Services Committee(HSSSC) Chair Karen Eoff, dated April 4, 2014, transmitting the HSSSC Ad Hoc Committee's recommendations for grant funding to nonprofit organizations for inclusion in the County of Hawaii Operating Budget for Fiscal Year 2014-2015. A total of 103 eligible applications were received, with requests totaling $5,619,769.89. The recommendations have been developed through a review of all applications and interviews with each applicant. Postponed: April 15, 2014 (Note: There is a pending motion by Ms. Ford and duly seconded by Mr. Kanuha to accept the recommendations of the Ad Hoc Committee.)
