WHEREAS, support from Hawai`i Island legislators is crucial for the Hawaii Invasive <br /> Species Council to approve $400,000 for the pilot project to fight the spread of the little fire ant <br /> in Hawai`i County; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br /> Hawai`i Island delegation of the Hawaii State Legislature is urged to write a letter to the <br /> Hawaii Invasive Species Council requesting a$400,000 grant to the Hawaii County <br /> Department of Parks and Recreation for the little fire ant pilot project in fiscal year 2015. <br /> BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this <br /> resolution to the Honorable Gilbert Kahele, the Honorable Russell E.
