COUNTY OF HAWAII :' STATE OF HAWAII <br /> BILL NO. 220 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 14 GO <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 10, DIVISION 3, SECTION 24-275, <br /> SCHEDULE 23 OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), <br /> RELATING TO BUS STOP LOCATIONS. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br /> SECTION 1. This amendment is being proposed based on a request by the Hawai`i <br /> Police Department to relocate an existing bus stop away from the covered walkway of Honoka`a <br /> Elementary School due to safety concerns. Relocation of the bus stop is warranted because the <br /> awning of the covered walkway prevents buses from parking completely off the travel way on <br /> Pakalana Street. <br /> SECTION 2. Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 3, Section 24-275, Schedule 23. Bus stop <br /> locations, Paragraph (a) Hamakua be amended by revising existing item: <br /> (1) Pakalana Street, west side, from a point -•-- -- - - - • •• - -- - • -• <br /> Street FOUR HUNDRED SIXTY FEET SOUTH OF HIGHWAY 240 AND <br /> EXTENDING EIGHTY-FIVE FEET IN THE SOUTHERLY DIRECTION, <br /> between the hours of 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. on school days only. <br /> SECTION 3. Material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New material is <br /> underscored. In printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed and stricken material and <br /> underscoring need not be included. <br /> SECTION 4. Severability. If any provision of this ordinance or the application thereof <br /> to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or <br /> applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, <br /> and to this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable. <br />
