BILL NO. 223 ORDINANCE NO. 14 63 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 10, DIVISION 5, SECTION 24-284, SCHEDULE 32 OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO TWO HOUR PARKING AREAS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: SECTION 1. This amendment is being proposed based on a request to convert an existing Americans with Disabilities Act compliant accessible parking stall with no time limit to an Americans with Disabilities Act compliant accessible parking stall with a two-hour time limit. This change will encourage parking turnover, which will in effect allow more people to use the parking stall throughout the day. SECTION 2. Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 5, Section 24-284, Schedule 32. Two hour parking areas, Paragraph (c) South Hilo be amended by adding new item and renumbering as required: ( ) KILAUEA AVENUE, SOUTHWEST SIDE, ONE STALL FRONTING PARCEL 2-2-019:052 SECTION 3. Material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New material is underscored. In printing this ordinance, the brackets,bracketed and stricken material and underscoring need not be included. SECTION 4. Severability. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable.
