The property is located at the end of <br /> Ho`ohoaloha Street, approximately 1,500 feet south from its intersection with Ainaola Drive, <br /> Waiakea Homestead 2nd Series, South Hilo, Hawai`i. <br /> The Commission concurs with the following Planning Director's reasons for recommending <br /> favorable consideration of the request: <br /> The applicant is requesting a change of zone from an Agricultural 3-acre(A-3a) <br /> and an Agricultural 1-acre(A-la)zoned district to a Family Agricultural 1-acre(FA-la) <br /> zoned district for 3.012 acres of land in order to subdivide the property into 3 lots, which <br /> will be conveyed to the applicant's children. <br /> The change of zone request from A-3a and A-la to FA-la will conform to, <br /> among others,the Land Use element and Land Use Pattern Allocation Guide <br /> (LUPAG) Map of the General Plan.
