V�<vlos M,�t <br />• �y ��Jiyi <br />COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br />�Tf p�•N j7M <br />RESOLUTION NO. 546 14 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER <br />FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A <br />MULTI -YEAR LEASE FOR MOBILE DATA TERMINALS TO BE USED <br />BY THE HAWAII COUNTY POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />WHEREAS, Section 10 -11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, <br />lease or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later <br />fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and <br />WHEREAS, the County of Hawai'i wishes to enter into a multi -year lease <br />agreement for three (3) years, for one hundred (100) mobile data terminals to be used <br />by the Police Department at various locations throughout Hawai'i Island; and <br />WHEREAS, the mobile data terminals will be placed in various officer's vehicles to <br />allow them to file reports when away from their stations; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br />1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a three (3) year lease <br />agreement for one hundred (100) mobile data terminals for the Hawai'i <br />County Police Department. <br />2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the <br />anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement. <br />
