WHEREAS, funds are needed to help provide a greenhouse, the Fodder System (food <br />supply), and an irrigation system; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2- 139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawaii County Code, <br />Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department /agency via <br />resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, activity, <br />service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; and <br />WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 1 will be appropriated to <br />the Department of Research and Development to provide a grant to the Hilo- Hamakua <br />Community Development Corporation for the Kaunamano Farm — Fodder System Pilot Study; <br />now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br />following amount is hereby transferred /appropriated as set forth below: <br />FUND: General <br />AMOUNT OF <br />APPROPRIATION: $7,000 <br />OUT AND FROM: <br />010.101.5101.91 Clerk - Council SVC — Contingency Relief $7,000 <br />CREDITED TO: <br />010.161.5161.22 Department of Research and Development $7,000 <br />Agriculture R &D OCE <br />115 Misc. Contract Services <br />( Kaunamano Farm — Fodder System Pilot Study) <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the research methods used and data collected shall <br />be submitted to the Hawaii County Department of Research and Development no later than 30 <br />days after the termination of the agreement. <br />01 <br />
