COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />BILL NO. 324 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 10, DIVISION 5, SECTION 24 -280, <br />SCHEDULE 28 OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), <br />RELATING TO NO PARKING AT ANYTIME. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br />SECTION 1. This amendment is being proposed based on a request to remove the on- <br />street parking in the subject area in an effort to increase pedestrian and traffic safety. In order to <br />make up for the loss of parking, the university is designating the upper Lanikdula Street parking lot <br />as free parking for students. <br />SECTION 2. Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 5, Section 24 -280, Schedule 28. <br />No parking at anytime, paragraph (c) South Hilo is amended by revising item 105: <br />(105) Lanikdula Street, southwest (Puna) [beginning at Kapielani Street an <br />extending ing o e hundred seventy ] from its northwestern terminus at <br />the southeast end of bridge 24 di <br />-I and extenng three hundred sixteen feet northeast of Kapiolani <br />Street. <br />SECTION 3. Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 5, Section 24 -280, Schedule 28. <br />No parking at anytime, paragraph (c) South Hilo is amended by adding new item and renumbering <br />as required: <br />() Kumukoa Street, southwest (Puna) side, from a point one hundred thirty feet <br />northwest of the northwest end of bridge 24 -1 to its southeastern terminus. <br />SECTION 4. Material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New material is underscored. In <br />printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed and stricken material and underscoring need not be included. <br />
