No. 1160/Bill No. 324 <br />Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation, to which was referred Bill No. 324, reports <br />as follows: <br />Bill No. 324, transmitted by Public Works Director Warren H. W. Lee, via Communication No. 1 160 <br />dated September 19, 2014, amends Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 5, Section 24-280, Schedule 28, <br />subsection (c), South Hilo, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as amended), relating to <br />parking as follows: <br />(105) Lanikdula Street, southwest (Puna) side, beginning at Kapi'olani Street and w*endifig ORe <br />ti dr -ed Seventy five foo* t,,war-as r ltilani ctr�t from its northwestern terminus at the southeast end of <br />bridge 24-1 and extendin)z three hundred sixteen feet northeast of Kapi`olani Street. <br />O Kumukoa Street southwest (Puna) side from a point one hundred thirty feet northwest of the <br />northwest end of Bridge 24-1 to its southeastern terminus. <br />These amendments fulfill a request by Jerry Chang, Director of University Relations at the University of <br />Hawaii at Hilo, to eliminate on -street parking in the subject area in an effort to increase pedestrian and <br />traffic safety.
