No. 1103/Bill No.307 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 2:55 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation, to which was referred Bill No. 307 <br /> reports as follows: <br /> Bill No. 307, transmitted by Public Works Director Warren H. Lee, via Communication No. <br /> 1103 dated September 23, 2014, amends Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 6, Section 24-287, <br /> Schedule 35 (Passenger loading zones), subsection (c), South Hilo, of the Hawai`i County Code <br /> 1983 (2005 Edition, as amended) by adding new item and renumbering as required: <br /> () Kamehameha Avenue, storefront parking lot, southwest (mauka) side, one hundred sixty- <br /> six feet northwest of Haili Street and extending one hundred fifty-six feet in the northwesterly <br /> direction, between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 8: a.m. on school days only. <br /> This amendment will provide a designated loading/unloading area for the Connections Public <br /> Charter School and will be in effect each school day. <br /> Mr. Yoshimoto is in support of this measure and stated that the purpose of the bill is to address <br /> safety concerns regarding student drop off at the school.
