Project Number 12-DJS-1 <br />C O N T R A C T <br />THIS CONTRACT, executed on the respective dates <br />indicated below, is effective as of December 1, 2014, by and <br />between the Department of the Attorney General, State of Hawaii, <br />hereinafter called "Agency," by and through the Attorney <br />General, and the Hawaii Police Department, whose business <br />address is 349 Kapiolani Street, Hilo, Hawaii 96720, hereinafter <br />called "Grantee." <br />_ WITN-ESSETH <br />WHEREAS, Title I of the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe <br />Streets Act of 1968, 42 U. S. C. §§ 3711 et sec.., as amended <br />(hereinafter "Act"), was enacted to make grants to states and <br />units of local government, for use by the State or unit of local <br />government to provide additional personnel, equipment, supplies, <br />contractual support, training, technical assistance, and <br />information systems for criminal justice, including for any one <br />or more of the following programs: <br />(1) Law enforcement programs. <br />(2) Prosecution and court programs. <br />1 (rev. 12/2013) <br />
