BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br />$500,000 <br />We are requesting to re -appropriate $500,000 from a lapsed appropriation (110.399.5395.67 in Ord 09-36) to <br />expand the office space at the Highways Administration Building. <br />Work includes the construction of an additional 26'x 64' building of offices and rooms, as required to <br />accommodate additional staff. Also, improvements to the existing office building such as storm hardened <br />windows, replacement of the obsolete telephone and air conditioning systems, and conformance to ADA <br />requirements. <br />Please waive this Ordinance from the Committee on Finance so that it will proceed for Council's approval, as <br />we wish to expedite this project. <br />SIGNED: DATE: #3A `A (LA <br />44� <br />G <br />Depart ent Head <br />
