REQUEST: <br />To amend Ordinance 14-82, as amended, the Capital Improvement Projects budget, to reappropriate <br />Account 110.599.5591.06.115 "Panaewa Rainforest Zoo and Gardens Comfort Station" originally created via <br />Ordinance 07-83 and reappropriated per ordinance 10-60 in the amount of $136,294.07, which lapsed June <br />30, 2013. <br />B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br />These funds provided augmented restroom amenities for the public to utilize at the zoo that will be ADA - <br />compliant, provides the zoo manager a dedicated office space for the execution of her duties and secure <br />storage of files. It provided some children's playground equipment system to enhance children's use and <br />enjoyment of their zoo experience. <br />To complete the playground area for the childeren, there are additional equipment which needs to be <br />purchased. <br />Lapsed funds from the prior appropriation (Ordinance No. 10-60) will be used to fund this reappropriation. <br />Funding necessary for the completion of the procurement and installation of the playground equipment. <br />The department requests that this bill be waived from Finance Committee and proceed <br />directly for Council's review to help expedite this project. <br />SIGNED: 7J — DATE: <br />Department Head <br />
